Benefits
Not only filters water but purifies and cleanses water for the whole home as well
Uses a triple filter system: KDF/GAC & Polypropylene filters
Removes unwanted heavy metals such as aluminium and copper & iron from your household water
Removes chlorine & related by-products from your water supply
Eradicates harmful chemicals such as hydrogen sulphide
Reduces alkalinity and total hardness of water
Has patented KDF Process Media
More info: KDF Process Media are high-purity, granulated copper and zinc-based alloys that treat water through a process based upon the principle of redox (Oxidation-Reduction). Originally, KDF was shorthand for Kinetic Degradation Fluxion. We can explain redox like this: KDF Fluid Treatment's unique combination of copper and zinc creates an electro-chemical reaction. During this reaction, electrons are transferred between molecules, and new elements are created. Some harmful contaminants are changed into harmless components. Free chlorine, for instance, is changed into benign, water-soluble chloride, which is then carried harmlessly through the water supply. Similarly, some heavy metals such as copper, lead, mercury and others, react to plate out onto the medium's surface, thus being effectively removed from the water supply.
The KDF Filter
Enhances the life & performance of your Watermate
Reduces maintenance of your water purifier
Treats water with safe oxidation-reduction principles
Recyclable
Creates an environment that's deadly to some microorganisms and that interferes with the ability of
many other microorganisms to function
Use results in the total elimination of some contaminants and a great reduction of a wide variety of
others

Jacinda - Survivor South Africa
Hi, I'm Jacinda and as a South African survivor contestant who spent time roughing it in the wild,
I know just how important good, clean water is for the body. You know we've always taken it for granted that
we have excellent tap water, but with high chlorine levels, typhoid outbreaks, right down to worms in our tap water,
how do we guarantee that the water we use is safe? |
